When Lightwave 9 became available for pre-order I paid for it right away. It still hasn’t been released yet, but I can finally now say that I’ve been beta testing it since February. In fact most of the work done on that WWII plane below was done in LW9. That plane, by the way, is now finished and animated on my general reel if you’d like to check it out. LW9’s new feature list is huge and I’ve barely scratched the surface. Some of the coolest new features are the nodal texturing, Adaptive Pixel Subdivision (APS) and the render speeds have increased dramatically. Last night I started a new model, just to play around with some of the new features. Here it is.
